Variational quantum attacks threaten advanced encryption standard based symmetric cryptography

چکیده

We propose a variational quantum attack algorithm (VQAA) for classical advanced encryption standard (AES)-like symmetric cryptography, as exemplified by the simplified-data (S-DES). In VQAA, known ciphertext is encoded ground state of Hamiltonian that constructed through regular graph, and can be found using approach. designed ansatz cost function S-DES’s attack. It surprising sometimes VQAA even faster than Grover’s demonstrated our simulation results. The relationships entanglement entropy, concurrence, are investigated, which indicate plays crucial role in speedup.

Trojan-horse attacks threaten the security of practical quantum cryptography

A quantum key distribution (QKD) system may be probed by an eavesdropper Eve by sending in bright light from the quantum channel and analyzing the backreflections. We propose and experimentally demonstrate a setup for mounting such a Trojan-horse attack. We show it in operation against the quantum cryptosystem Clavis2 from ID Quantique, as a proof-of-principle. With just a few back-reflected ph...

Evaluating the performance of Symmetric Key Algorithms: AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) and DES (Data Encryption Standard)

Encryption algorithms are known to be computational intensive. Internet and networks applications growing very fast, so the needs to protect. Encryption plays the very important role in information security system. On the other side, the symmetric key algorithms consume a significant amount of computed resources such as speed, time, memory and cost. The symmetrical algorithms AES and DES as a s...

FPGA Can be Implemented Using Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm

This paper mainly focused on implementation of AES encryption and decryption standard AES-128. All the transformations of both Encryption and Decryption are simulated using an iterativedesign approach in order to minimize the hardware consumption. This method can make it avery low-complex architecture, especially in saving the hardware resource in implementing theAES InverseSub Bytes module and...

Advanced Encryption Standard

The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), which implements the Rijndael cipher, is a symmetric block cipher that was developed as a result of a call by the United States National Institute of Standards and Technology in 1997 for a secure cryptosystem to replace the then standard Data Encryption Standard algorithm, which had become vulnerable to brute-force attacks. Among several proposals, the Ri...

Insecurity of position-based quantum cryptography protocols against entanglement attacks

Recently, position-based quantum cryptography has been claimed to be unconditionally secure. On the contrary, here we show that the existing proposals for position-based quantum cryptography are, in fact, insecure if entanglement is shared among two adversaries. Specifically, we demonstrate how the adversaries can incorporate ideas of quantum teleportation and quantum secret sharing to compromi...
